Celadon is one glorious and graceful variety in the family of Chinese porcelain. Located in Suining, Sichuan, Celadon Museum of Song Dynasty was built to be a cultural symbol of this city.
To achieve this goal, Hanloong team was appointed by the museum and local government to polish and elevate the image and design of the museum.
The team combined multiple methodologies in this project: literature review about the researches in Song Dynasty and Chinese Porcelain; intensive field studies of relevant museums, such as Sanxingdui Museum, China Porcelain Museum, Capital Museum and so on.
Based on these works, a functional planning system including Celadon Appreciation, Celadon Identification, Celadon Reading, Celadon Listening, Celadon Collection, and Celadon Making was established. Meanwhile, the layout of interior zones and exterior squares, and the exhibition and operation of the museum were improved. When the project was finished, after the reopen of the museum, the numbers of visitors had increased ten times comparing to the former year.
It is a case in point for the positive correlation between culture creative and value increment.
