Qinhuangdao is a port city and resort city in Hebei Province, China. This project was appointed by the city government and aimed to orientate the central part within a forest park.
The 600-hectare park was occupied mainly by forests, accompanying by some meadow and wet land. During the end of 2008 and the beginning of 2009, Hanloong’ team carried on-spot investigations of Beijing Olympic Forest Park, the harbour of Qinhuangdao, Shanhai Pass and the city of Beidaihe.
Summing up the findings, the team decided to concentrate on the culture of Chinese Seal. The Forest Park, balancing the relationship between human and nature, ecology and modernization, was featured with Chinese Seal art among the sea and the mountains.
The park was a perfect mixture of Qinhuangdao’s culture and the environment, thus conveyed the feelings of harmony, balance, and energy. The project was highly appreciated by the mayor of the city and was welcomed by the citizens.
